Networking Sales and Repair Services

Networking these days has been associated with several simplified versions of itself. To LanLabs, a network is the whole package. From the computers, to the server, to the wires that bind it all together, LanLabs will address every aspect of your network to offer a turn-key solution, or repair/improve your existing network.

Most technicians follow the principal of "if you have internet, my job is done", leading to a spaghetti like mess of patchwork switches and wires. However, your network is only as strong as your weakest link. When one aspect suffers, the network as a whole suffers, causing packet loss, service interruption, slow transfers and/or periodic loss of connection.

Your network is also composed of the computers, servers and other equipment attached to it. After all, this is what produces and receives network traffic. You cannot just diagnose the interconnects of a network without looking at the computers also. Viruses, Malware, Adware and security settings (both too much and too little) have a serious affect on total network performance.

Common signs of a weak link:

- Internet access is weak or commonly interrupted.

- Network sharing has computers, servers and/or devices that disappear at times.

- Sharing documents internally is slow (this should be incredibly fast).

While every network is different, the common goal should be a secure network with a focus on ease-of-use by the end user, as well as a failsafe setup. See our networking example below:

Networking Layout

In the example above we have enterprise level control over workgroups (which can represent different departments, floors, security levels, etc.) while retaining the simplicity of a plug-and-play network. In the event of failure, each workgroup is isolated and protected as not to affect the rest of the network, yet internal features of the network would still be preserved (file sharing for example) by the switch.

This represents the basis for simplicity, reliability and performance. Adding more features can target the network as a whole or individual workgroups, giving the customer a wealth of possibilities and ample room to expand. The added bonus is ease of use due to the DHCP offering a plug-and-play solution so there will be no need to call tech support to add and/or change a PC.
